Essay question: I’m interested in discussing how the topic “Public Health Education: Its Importance and Role in Population Health Improvement, Prevention and Treatment” is relevant to my own personal health goals. [ARTICLE END] [CITATIONS] [CITATION END] Public Health is one of the most important aspects of improving quality of life and it's something that's not discussed enough in today's society. Public health is "the science and art of preventing disease, prolonging life and promoting health through organized efforts and informed choices of society, organizations, public and private, communities and individuals." The role of public health training in improving population health can be different for different people and not everyone will see improvements in the same way. Some people will see improvements through prevention while others might see improvements through treatment. Also, there are different levels to each aspect that you can improve upon such as community level or individual level. It's important to have someone who oversees all of these different levels in order to improve how a population responds to certain health problems. In addition, public health training expands your mind on how you see the world and the impact of your actions on it. Public health training also provides a more accurate picture on what both sides of a controversy are saying about a certain issue. Therefore, it's an important aspect of education that is often overlooked and something that can't be excluded from a standard curriculum even if it doesn't have a specific set curriculum for this type of education. There are two main roles of public health in each area: Prevention and Treatment. cfa1e77820
